Books from the series are available at a discount to NCPR listeners at a number of bookstores throughout the region. The Rozsa Center is pleased to present an evening of warmth, holiday cheer, and storytelling by the tour of Public Radio International’s hit radio show Selected Shorts at 7:30 p.m. READERS AND WRITERS ON THE AIR provides an opportunity for the station's listeners to interact directly with authors who join the host, Ellen Rocco, for this monthly call-in. LITERARY SERIES PROFILE: In addition to airing such national offerings as SELECTED SHORTS and Garrison Keillor's WRITER'S ALMANAC, the station produces literature programs that include features about local and visiting authors, story and poetry readings, and READERS AND WRITERS ON THE AIR, a contemporary literature call-in series supported with public funds via the NYS Council on the Arts Literature Program and additionally by the New York Council for the Humanities and several private foundations.
